The area
The Chobe Riverfront is Botswana’s great elephant stage. Forest and floodplain meet a wide permanent river, delivering both classic game drives and an entirely different perspective from the water.
The dry season, especially July to October, brings major wildlife concentrations. The green season is quieter, colourful and excellent for birding.
The wildlife
Famous for exceptional elephant concentrations, Chobe also supports buffalo, hippo, crocodile, sable, lion and abundant waterbirds.
